Starting this year, tire pressure in Moto2 and Moto3 will be subject to strict verification, with potential penalties for non-compliance.
This measure has been implemented to ensure rider safety. Indeed, riding with insufficient pressure can cause tires to burst or come off the rim. However, it can also improve grip and performance, making this control essential.
The role of Tire Watch is precisely to prevent this practice. Using the TPMS sensor, we collect the actual tire pressure in real time and transmit it to the logger, which records the data securely and immutably, as illustrated in the diagram below:

With this in mind, during the Jerez tests from February 18 to 20, we collaborated with the MotoGP technical management, our main competitor, as well as several manufacturers to find a concrete solution.
We also took this opportunity to engage with our reseller, Dellorto, who also supplies the logger mentioned earlier. It was a pleasure to see them again!
Good to know: a TPMS sensor can transmit up to 1000 pieces of information per second per sensor.
